Socrates and Existentialism

Socrates and Existentialism

A Poem by Blake P.

“'An unexamined life is not worth living',

but what truly is worth giving

a s**t about?”

My answers tortured by perpetual doubt.

“For what exactly is there to be,

in a world we cannot see?”

It’s fruitful bosom slowly weaning,

in a man’s search for intrinsic meaning.

And thus, there I lay,

a mind broken from decay.

How long did it take me to understand?

You must plant your own fruit tree into this land.
