Confusion

A poem inspired by the memory of being a teenager in love.

I push you away
But I want you near
I want you gone
But I want you here

I cower in the fear
Of my own mind
Affraid you'll come
Then leave me behind

What happened to me
What happened to us
Everything was perfect
But now.....where is my trust
