You are home...

You are home...

A Poem by Andrea A. Wentz
"

For all those who must leave their homes for long periods of time, but later return to waiting arms.

"

A noise I hear

A door you close

A lock I turn

A door I open

A smile you show

A tear I cry

An embrace we share

A joy we feel

You are home

Nothing like the feel of coming home, the smells and sounds of thankful sighs of home are brought out in this. Excellent write.

Oh, that's nice and warm! Home: for me it will be when I hold my little boy again, and hang out at my brothers in Hells Canyon.
Nice poem full of the feeling of welcome.

Like a warm blanket on a cold night.
Like a ray of sun in a sea of clouds.
Like the first rain to a parched desert.
Like a symphony in a silent world.
I think you have summed it up perfectly!
About one who longs to return!
GReat Poem! :)

beautiful. i think the concept of home is one of the most comforting ideas. How sad it must be to leave that comfort but what a heavenly day it must be the time you finally return. You sum it up so nicely here.

Just beautiful, to the point, no frills, just the love and joy at having them home, wonderful. Great write.
