I'm Just Me

I sit alone

In a dark corner

Asking myself

"Why is everybody staring at me?"

Their stares are like a knife to my heart

I just want to tell them sometimes

"Please stop staring at me,

I'm just a normal person

Like everybody else."

Sometimes at night

I just pray to God

"Why me God, what have I done

To deserve this?"

But then I go to school the next day

And hang out with all my friends

And it makes me realize

That I am a normal person after all

This is a very interesting, and thought provoking piece. Learning who you are, and becoming solid in your own sense of self worth will bring you out of the corner, and will lessen your need for validation from your friends. Very well written. I enjoyed this very much, and it brought up some old memories for me...some I'd rather forget.

Yes,you are a normal person after all.
Sometimes,it may appear that others are staring at us.
It is just a wrong idea or thought.
Everybody keeps busy with her/his own business.
It is the best option to give no heed to such thought.
