I want a garden

A secret garden on the edge of the forrest. 

I want to fill the garden with flowers.

Where I’d spend my hours.

I’d have a husband and great children

We’d make memories and thrive

Teach them wisdom and knowledge

I’d send my kids to college

My children will grow and here I’ll stay.

In my garden.

They’ll have children of their own,

Me and my husband all alone

And one day my husband died

And I was physically alone

And one day my children will forget

Love we both set

While I was forgotten

I’ll remember my children forever

And here I’ll remain

In my garden

A secret garden on the edge of the forrest

Where I filled the garden with my flowers

And I’ll forever spend my hours.

People may fail you, but the garden remains secure!! I love how this went through stages of life with the garden as the constant. It was very pretty, and though sad at the end, the flowers still held hope.

Such a lovely poem ^^. I am guessing forrest is intentional. Yeah the imagery is clear, and the cycle of life can be seen. And to have your grave in the place you want to die is touching. The children I am sure also include the lovely flowers which bloom and make you happy. ^^
