She was Seventeen

She was Seventeen

A Poem by Abhas Kumar Rai
"

It's about a Roller-Coaster Journey before going into Paranoid.

"
You were seventeen starting a daunting takeoff,
I liked you from that moment of first glimpse,
Finding a seat behind you was another apocalypse.

You gave me a reason to smile along,
You taught me to love life with outstretched  arms,
Grasping each day within your palms.

The seed of love took root to live long,
I started finding you in every star,
As if I was not walking alone afar.

You proved me the intangibility of capabilities,
I learnt to fashion own brand of happiness,
At the edge of seventeen I saw genesis of success.

You got another leap to extend your arms,
I  found the gateway of paradise in the horizon,
It was your kiss that turned me in to poison
