I am alone

Every day and every night

I search for freedom,

I search for might.

 

I never find those,

I only find darkness,

my emotions change

as silence becomes loneliness.

 

I stand alone,

in my ever-darkened way;

blood sheds and tears fall,

in every single day.

 

My hopes are never truth,

my dreams are all lies;

I stand alone,

as darkness rise.

 

I gain my freedom,

by constant fight;

with death before me,

in an ever-lasting night.

I like your commitment to the form and your ability to be creative within it. Nice work :) My only suggestion would be to reconsider the punctuation after "by constant fight." It might be more effective with something other than a semi-colon. Again, nice work and I'm looking forward to reading more.
