You tried to shelter me

You didn't want me to see the evil

This world holds

You thought I'd try to leave it

If I knew

 

But I've been there for years

I've seen it day after day

I lost my innocent eyes long ago

 

And you were wrong

I don't want to leave it

Not just yet

 

I want to save it.
