Don't really like this, I think it'll just serve as a reminder to think of a better one

A sound is not a sound

But a mere vibration

Until it falls upon those who hear it.

 

A tree falling down in the middle of a forest

Only creates a mediocre vibration

Unless something captures the deafening WHACK

 

A plane crashes in the ocean

All onboard are dead on impact

The WHOOSH does not exist, it is vibrations along the waves

 

What about an abused childs cries for help?

If we do not listen, do we not hear?

Are her screams mere vibrations on the wind?
