Never Grow UpA Poem by Ada SloweYour sleeping peacefully in your crib I'm staring at you cause I can't look away I listen to you breathing quietly and it's the best sound in the world I don't want you to ever grow up You're walking and now and chasing the dog In the kitchen and getting into things It seems like just yesterday when you were just a baby all you did was sleep and cry you couldn't walk and you liked to cuddle You're getting big and learning new things now But I wish you didn't have to grow up pretty soon you'll be going to school You'll be making new friends you'll have disagreements with your mother and think life is unfair You;ll meet a girl and fall in love but I don't want you to ever grow up.... © 2012 Ada SloweFeatured Review
