An Oxymorons's Ruse

An Oxymorons's Ruse

A Poem by Austin Davis

Lacking in understanding
She was the breach to my ever-breaking
With her I could fall apart comfortably
Living the life of an oxymoron's ruse
She kept me below, but she kept me breathing
I could never again, with myself alone, find an understanding
Of what I now know, she could never love me
