Culture War

Culture War

A Poem by Daz🖤

I didn't hear the sound of the gun
Yet the weapons stay active
Blades sharp and ready
Violating all in its way
Best not sit on the fence
You are either with us or against us
Chants
"You Will Not Replace Us"
It's a different kind of battle
Whose ideology will survive
This fight for dominance

A battlefield of inconsequential ideologies.
To be or not to be?
In truth there ought not be a battle within humans…
We are one and the same!
If there ever was going to be a battle, it ought to be between man and animals.
We’ve done a great deal of injustices with our ideologies.
The message is powerful!

Oof.

A country of barbed wire fence, and little bunkers with machine guns, peering out at one other.

"Dominance..."

The disease of the times, maybe. Anyways, nicely done. Cheers.

culture wars don't go away they infect they destroy history and individualism of each and every
this country might be the worst
segregation and open racism are political tools that vilify their targets as the greatest danger
the 60s had the black panthers first strong hold on culture wars with the celebration of their race their religion their history their culture

whites were as afraid of 'afros & afro pics
along with the dashiki and the open embrace of
black power
black is beautiful

the foundations of racism are religion & culture
and the ignorant hypocrisies that are always there
ya wipe out history and culture then it is not long before both become a memory that becomes a 'who'?

this is a strong personal piece you have penned thanks

I never cared much for "culture" of any sort. I like to do my own thing, color outside the lines, draw my own lines, even. I'm sort of a devoted isolationist and anarchist with antisocial tendencies. But I'm the quiet neighbor next door who stays home all the time. My kids are social butterflies and honor roll smart though. Must get that from their mothers. My oldest turns 41 this tear. She taught school and did social work in South Africa and speaks Afrikaans. She's a military wife now with four kids of her own. Time flies. My ideology is don't worry, be happy. Life will be gone before you know it.
