Come Back, Come HomeA Poem by Blueto a prodigal childYou've been astray, out in the wild Pursuer of pleasure, a prodigal child Now wisdom earned at decade's cost Yet still in fear of moments lost. "Come back, come home... you do not have to be alone." With gnawing guilt, with troubled heart From world's allures you now depart Set off at once to that one place With doubting hope in quest of grace. "Come back, come home... Where love abounds you've never known." From miles afar, a distant view You see your father waiting for you And soon your soul's stained with regret For love withheld, for trust unmet. "Come back, come home... Share the glory of my throne." Finally seeing you, he breaks into run Joy's on his face at the return of his son Forgotten faults, forgiven sin It matters not where you have been. "Come back, come home... You've always been my precious own."
