Icy Thorns

Icy Thorns

A Poem by Panteha

I wish I could taste the blood
Going round and round  around your heart
I wish I could burn this flame
Sit still and make the rage take the blame
I wish I wasn't reaching for a whole
When all I am is an icy thorn
Like a rose, but not a red one
An insecure, colorless, dead one
Oh my love, pour me with that pureness
Because I crave it, that little innocence
And bend me that strand of heart
Before I fall into the fading art
