as we layA Poem by aftervisionstolen love - cherishedwe danced to gregory abbott's favorite tune shake you down you belong to another that's known -- all over town i had another with me but you stole my heart i saw you with him and knew you had to be torn apart you sent me a note from a dear friend of yours it said meet me tonight at three right outside of these doors i dropped mine off and hurried back while you let yours take you home my heart exploded when i saw you running back so that we can be alone we made love -- and then introduced ourselves what was right was right -- and that we knew we fell asleep in each others arm after we did the things that only lovers know to do morning is here now and you are still asleep i put a cube of ice in my mouth and trace your body to wake you as soon as you jump - i push the remote to hear morning - and we slept the night away it happen -- and we can't turn back the hands of time yes we stole love this morning images unfold in the banks of my mind did we steal -- or did we discover are we friends or are we lovers you -- you -- and me -- me and you oh you got me on high mornings here and i don't want to say good-bye yes we stole love this morning and we have to face the simple facts i am ready to say good-bye to mine and tonight -- welcome you back as we lay after vision
