The Grand Pooh-Bah

The Grand Pooh-Bah

A Poem by Serendipity Exists
"

3 poems I wrote for my late uncle.

"

I used to steal the red sour patch kids.

BUT you put me in a dog suit

my first day of work

SO

I figure we're even.

"Why do you leave 2 deviled eggs behind?" he asked.

"Because," I said.

"Even guardian angels need bribing once in a while."

...that was the day it rained

and I lost my ID and missed

the bus.

It must take a few days

to get used to being an angel...

...or you had to explain a few things.

Lol. I don't know if that's meant to be humorous, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's definitely seems to be a bit surreal. But maybe you could explain it to me so I can better understand how I should be reacting to this poem. I'm a bit on the dense side when it comes to poetry.

It seems your poems leave something out, no doubt they were inside poems that drew on some events. As you can see, I'm probably your great uncle's age, but I have found that I'm still only learning things, so my suggestions are at best more words in the wind. The true test of your abilities and progress is in doing more writing and expanding your talents. Finding in yourself your abilities, expanding them, and growing from there. I'm not sure if this is your first and only attempt, but don't make it your last.
