It's funny how just laying in bed
with someone you love makes
everything seem to go away.
Nothing matters, no more worries,
no debt can ruin the moment,
actions left undone no matter.
The future melts away into that perfect
moment of warmth and serenity,
nothing matters, you have no care,
you don't even fear how later,
alone in that very same bed,
it all comes crashing back down,
and you realize that person in your arms
is the only dam keeping your sanity
in your head where it belongs.
