ChangeA Poem by JinxI wrote this last week, and I can't really tell if it's done or not. I was tinkering with the first few lines, mostly, but I figured sharing is caring, so-- here we go.Change The leaf, eager to be somewhat of an eagle, Crawls to the tip of its mother’s arm, Stretching, shooting itself out into a full-blown Bloom, twinkling North Star gleam To support its pearled, prying eye. The breeze, carrying the scent of the season, Gently grabs ahold of the petals, plucking them From Mother Nature’s nurture to rain down Upon The newborn lovers, Fumbling for unfamiliar warmth Within one another underneath The snowing petals of the peach Blossom, sway to their whishes As they fly past © 2011 JinxReviews
