A Poem by kenzie evans

It's just a displeasing shame
to hear a fear, screaming my name.
While I'm worthless to look down
rundown walls,
& scattered thoughts echoing through
abandoned hospital halls.
As I'm weakening with every breath
& every shot has got me down further,
oh God, please make the pain stop
before I have to go away.

So far away,
& so I won't have to hear my name.

If you were closer, would you hold me?
Because these moments
that shouldn't be captured without you.
And since I'm so far away again
I'll never forget hair strands
running askew in my fingers.

And my faltering breath
can forever be remembered
but embedded in my heart
is something so much better.

Seems like someone is trapped in a cold place of pain, misery and loneliness and really really needing someone. I take it this cold place is a hospital. Very stark, vivid and rather frightening. I give this a 100. I like it.
