A Day I Would Lowkey Like To Forget

 

A day that made me look forward,

A day that made me feel positive,

A day that came as late as eternity,

A day that grew my anxiety.

Now it makes me feel disturbed and confused,

As the day has passed,

And I question myself for my stupidity.

It once was a delusional, blurred image,

And now is an unforgettable reality.

As the day has passed,

I wonder if I could ever treat the same day

With the same excitement and pleasure.

A day I would lowkey like to forget.

I get this..... it’s that feeling when you look forward to something so much, only for it to leave you more unsettled than happy...
. the way you describe the shift from excitement to regret feels really real... it’s simple but it captures that mix of disappointment and self-questioning so well. I do hope that you never get to experience a day like that again though.
