Belonging to the CauseA Poem by A JacksonOrphans fill our blood-spilled streets As roads turn to graves More women and children were slaughtered today Now streams of anguish flow.
Bodies are bodies, the people are gone A ‘gang’ of opinion wiped out The lives of the innocent are pained, too many Taken by the lost.
Men hold guns and preach of God A murderous plea to all Contradiction in every word they cry“Death to save their sins”.
Forgotten are the teachings, old Believing what suits the cause They’ve forgotten the word of the Lord; In death and life we belong. © 2014 A Jackson |
