Lost on the MountainA Poem by A JacksonWhen the moon sets upon the ageing Earth Casting a dim light over all Few seconds repeat, no day, no night A stillness sits on the mountain. A foreign language is spoken, shaking the trees The wind is all that's survived The Earth that used to reap such life Is trapped in the darkness of light. The echo of silence that dawns on a hill Sitting lonely beneath the moon They wander the plains each day to explore In search of a brother of mine.
