Darkness in my soul - Part I

This is the first part of my first ever power metal song. I must say I never wrote the second part, don't know why...

Come, save me from this madness
I can't escape on my own
I'm falling deeper into darkness
If only I had known

What this would do to me.....

I look up, see a bird flying,
Symbol of freedom they say,
But it reminds me of dying,
Oh, how I lost my way.

And everything because of that one thing,
That like a hurricane destroyed me,
And now desperate, I cling,
Knowing I'll never be free.

As I look down,
Into bottomless hole,
I prepare for final showdown,
Darkness swallows me whole.

Now I am ready to face you,
The queen of my nightmare,
There is no rescue,
Time to fight this despair.
