your eyes are a river, peaceful and chillingly cold

darling, are you sad?

keeping in all those tears must be hard

but you act like a readable, open card

darling, are you afraid? 

because i can see it through your eyes

you're slow at hellos, and fast for your goodbyes

darling, why are you so scared to be here?
