Preface

A Chapter by Exa Lectric

Peering into the dark room I saw a small figure crumpled on the floor. I crept over until I stood over the figure. It was a small girl. I checked her pulse, but couldn’t find it. Dark red blood had pooled everywhere staining the concrete. I saw a glimpse of silver shimmer in my eyes. Looking more closely I could see a knife through her heart. The stench was atrocious; she must have been lying there on the cold dark floor for days.  She must have been only about seven years old. Without thinking, I mumbled a prayer for her soul as I have done for so many others. Will it ever end?
