and your name will just continue to get harder to swallow

and your name will just continue to get harder to swallow

A Poem by alexiamarie

you gave me a heart that never pulsed.

against your better judgement i suppose.

so it sprung upon us and closed around both of our throats

but I was letting it grow flowers that were really weeds

and you let it stuff dirt down your pipes

suffocating your voice

drown and snatch away all of your lies

all of the tears cried for no one

kisses gave to no one

because i was just a no one, wasn't I?

yes

no i was just a child and you were too

but it was against your better judgement, right?

and I was too.

so your eyes will follow

as i will go down to the ground

and you'll stew in your guilt

of better wasted love you gave to a dead soul

and you'll drown drown drown

down so they'll follow

and your name will just continue to get harder to swallow.
