ConfidenceA Poem by Alexis RobertsInner thoughts.Something at one point we all wish we had just a little bit more of I know I did I used to need compliments to feel beautiful and worthy I used to look for my confidence in other people I used to feel insignificant unless others expressed I wasn’t And now I don’t Now I see my beauty and feel my worth Now when I am complimented I am grateful not refilled Because I am full With or without anyone else With or without opinions With or without admiration I no longer crave the attention I once used to I crave friendship Not someone appreciating what I already know to be true I want someone to truly know me and think thats beautiful too
