Patience is a Virtue

Patience is a Virtue

A Poem by Written Dreammares
"

Why does the grains of sand feel like forever?

"
She dances in circles,

Wearing a veil like a tuxedo,

A curtain like a dress,

She is not married or to be married yet,

Dancing in a hall so elegant,

Her shoes are the wind that dances barely visible,

Eyes dreaming,

Bones breaking inside,

Muscles twisting like thorned vines,

And she glances at a second,

Something of great surprise,

Yet she must wait for the hours to pour,

Wishing for the wrong souls to stop attempting to barge in the room,

A place welcomed only for a specific other,

Strange they currently feel like a ghost,

Her future will explain the sun dancing with the moon from the far end,

The stars ticking by in the night before the shade of dark becomes light,

The lady is forced to wake in a world that is easy to die.
