Waking The Demon

It's hard to tell, because it was poorly written, but this is about a guy I used to know who was always picked on because he was gay, hence the category.

Tormented by enemies
There is no hope for me
Anger is bubbling
I endure with a mask

Can't stand him
Stuffed me in a locker
What did I do?
Why pick on me?

Took me in the locker room
Gave me a swirly
Least the toilet was empty
I wait to strike

Wanted to tell
To talk to someone
Would make things worse
So I didn't

I can't take this
No longer am I
The target for them
The game has reversed

Finger on the trigger
Gun pointed at them
They plead and plead
I do not give in

Oh, dear! Did the fellow actually go through with it? Many times we forget that we are the very creation of our own monsters and demons.

I will always say however, that guns and revenge could not solve the problem. In my view that fellow should have sought counseling from an older, wiser, friendlier figure in his life. Sometimes its even better to talk to someone who is a total stranger, you'd be surprised ton find that they have gone through the very same experience.

Thank you for writing this poem for your friend. It was really selfless of you, lol. Happy are those who are the voices of the unsung.

Love it, The first and last stanzas are my favorite. The truth in the poem is heartbreaking, because stuff like this happens so often.
