When the Laughter Dies

When the Laughter Dies

A Poem by Laz K.

It had to be.

He was nailed to a tree.

Know this when

You’re seized and bound,

Spat upon, mocked,

Scourged and crowned.

Humbly worn, you shall be

The rose to the thorns, and

When the laughter dies, and

They all turn back to

Their tellurian lives,

None shall see as

Your soul takes to wing and

Flies, flies, flies!

Sometime in the years, we all may be called upon to undergo our own individual Golgothas. May we keep such faith as that done in this offering.

Do not believe your lying eyes.

I am fearful for the future. Fearful what lies ahead for my grandchildren. If only more people embraced the love Jesus had for others. Wouldn’t that be a fine thing. Your poem touched me Laz.

A beautiful touching poem. Let laughter never dies.

I do believe Jesus would be disappointed in this world. Killing children without thoughts, allowing people to die of starvation and few helping hands. Your poem. Hard, honest and true. I hope we can someday fly to a better place. Powerful and outstanding poetry my friend.

Hi Emma
For everything if we depend on God, do you think people will steal his ways and misuse them.
We are overdepending on God for everything. But west and east never depended on temples or God here for every simple pain or problem we blame God saying how much we pray he is not helping. Church or temple gives values how to be nice, whole day you feel the vibrations of God when you go to temple and offer him.but we offered god where is my desire, putting knife on God.
When I saw west I learnt honesty not their dating or bikni dress or divorce
When I saw east I learnt kids doing hardwork with joy.
When I saw where I was born I thought I had honesty and strength to do hardwork but there was cheat which blocked my growth and even after 20 yrs I am in same place no change but I see people are learning wrong things from West and instead of doing more hardworking they are focusing on earning money by hook or crook.
I threw a challenge who ever asked what you did God to me, then I showed good things will people change mind to behave honest and do hardwork. Then this country will have no beggar we don't need to migrate too.
I am just worried this should not be mistaken that I am showing disrespect..

Thousands of years after that cruelty was carried out, Life should have become more glorious for what that Man courageously represented then - left to Mankind.

People can believe or not. But how many have believed, still believe and will believe via others' spread the words - just as your words might.
Humankind has a tendency to having scapegoats and the like, so belittle Life, misuse our planet, plus - both abuse and disrespect each other in the worse possible ways. God save us all for what we might lose.. ..

A point to be heeded by all methinks. I often wonder whatever happens to all those who bully and mock when the odds are in their favour.
People move on and cut out a path for their lives, but do those bullies learn or keep deluding themselves.
It's one thing we all have in common, we'll have to pay the toll of life and although some would deny it to their last breath, their toll will be all the heavier for it.

I remember times of feeling like this. Their laughter dies down, but also a little bit of heart dies with it. Nice use of allegory.
