Treasure

Treasure

A Poem by Laz K.
"

Reflecting on the simple pleasures of a holiday, and the freedom I had to be me for a while .

"

What peace felt like, and

How time stretched out

Lazily like a cat on a windowsill,

How days inched forward like

A twisting tree trunk

That changes directions as it goes, but

Still ends up where it needs to be --

All that, and more,

I cherish as my treasure

Worthless to the world, but

To me, the greatest pleasure.

Now that sounds like the absolute definition of a perfect holiday to me Laz. To me a holiday is not a holiday without stretching lazily like a cat on a windowsill, but trust me when I say that all lazy stretches should be conducted anywhere apart from a windowsill, because we cant be guaranteed we have their alleged nine lives and the landing buddy bursts, no matter how many lives you get, if you are anywhere near as clumsy as me! 😃
