The Wilderness in Me

The Wilderness in Me

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

If out in nature allow nature into you.

"

I never tamed the wilderness in me.

On the river of age with the flow growing in my soul,

Meaningless passages paddled their way north

I paddled southward laughing,

Capturing the stupidity of name, address and bed.

To compare my work with Shelly is quite a compliment. Thank You!

Wow, I love the poem. Brilliant! The first line and the title remind me of a poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley.
"Glorious shapes have life in thee,
Earth and all earth's company;
living globes which ever throng
thy deep chasms and wildernesses. ":))
