Eyelid of Darkness

Eyelid of Darkness

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Another poet's story

"
There is an eyelid of darkness on the morrow.
It captures the sight of full beings
returning them to the likes of poets,
striking iron on word's mental form,
transforming the unsaid in underneath beauty
lasting a breath or two beyond the shadows
They liken life to sorrow's beauty and joy!

"Only they kiss the Universe"

Thanks Jacob! I think the poet uses imagination & reason to form his ideas. That means two hemispheres of the brain are involved which I think of as some form of wholistic thinking.

i wonder if that is true, that poets only, kiss the universe...we go beyond the shadows and yes, maybe full beings return to being the likes of poets...so does that make us not so full because we give a part of ourselves to the writing...we leave a part of us, the mental form, on a page.

really good questions raised by this piece...

I love your smile Briana. Thank you for your visit and the exquisite explanation. They just come to me.

This is simply exquisite. There is just so much that can be said about this short little piece, I don't even know where to begin. The way you wove your words together was so elegant, peaceful and beautiful. Very well penned.
