The Fatigue

The Fatigue

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

enlarged hearts tend to sleep

"

The Fatigue

It's a 9 B.C. wake up
I'm feeling the 9
The B.C. comes later

You slip into Before
While Christ wraps around
your huge heart.
Sleep child sleep
You've gone to war
It's now time to rest.

What a well wrought piece... I imagine a fatigued (dressed) fatigued (weary) soldier being welcomed by Christ with a whispered promise of rest... such a deserved sleep... such a beautiful embrace... Just lovely!
