Red Shoe Abandonment

Red Shoe Abandonment

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Dream Ballerina!

"

Red Shoe Abandonment

In her red shoe abandonment

she found the grass as a song

for twinkle toes on a lawn of far gone

like a ballerina made of dreams

she lost herself on a noon time day

and lived in a world of far away!

This is dedicated to a gal with MS. In fact she's getting this image along with the poem as a gift. I asked one of my yoga buddies, a dance instructor, if there was anything to help her MS with dance therapy. Karen the dancer has a buddy who dances with MS and she offered videos of dance exercises for her.

Her mother and I are friends. I cared for her stepson a few years back. We became close friends. The boy passed away.

There is such poignancy in your words, Alfred. This reads with all the wonder of a fairy-tale.

Your words are as graceful as her dance. Absolutely beautiful!
