The Loss

Tears scatter over stretches of years
each one lands made of bomb's fear
I cant count the times upon visits to war
The cycle continues because I breathe the air
In a battlefield memory scarred with tricks of the mind
I lay down my heart with a simple divine
As you guys know the loss simply won't fade away
Until, at last, I'm with you on my day.

It started yesterday. I ignored it but come morning they returned. Always with a title, always knowing I will write something, always feeling a lostness in the nook and crannies of my mind.

Thank you both for visiting!

Regards,
Al

these poems are just heart wrenching...the memories of serving in that war, the memories of the comrades lost in battle...the scars of such tough time...those will never go away in this life...and perhaps in the next...all will be together again...but in fields of peace.
