Autumn Rings through Time

Here on the surface of a sound I tune my ears

awaiting a golden chime

I hear the sound mellowing around a simple rhyme

a leaf falls, then another,

I listen as the descent of a the leaf follows my mind

and lays on Earth as the belief of autumn rings through time.

each year falls like another leaf in autumn...our tree of life becomes barer and barer, but maybe more striking...in color and personality...
