To Find a Soul

To Find a Soul

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

without a heaven

"

To Find a Soul

I was painted in March
greens, yellows followed the gig,
I was suppose to land in April
but heaven was crowded and fat.
I'm near Dad's tree when I landed
near stupid janitor land
His poverty of soul and money
made his way into my land.
I lost one soul at home & catholic school
Another loss happened in Vietnam
Then I lost another when home
Now I've been writing for years
just to find a soul.

Finally home........two dogs, my fictional friend Herr Mahjor and a stirring poet named Jacob as a friend.

deep, insightful write....a soul looking for a home...somewhere along the line, the home we had moves without notifying us.
