A Thoroughbred of Memory

A Thoroughbred of Memory

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

a horse I once knew passes on

"

A Thoroughbred of Memory

I remember Harvey
His owner Stacey
Riding like wind
in past memories of my mind
Thoroughbred muscle flexing in ride
On a camera shot in 1/125
His beauty remains steady
Like a triumph in equine magic
He rides on and on
The eternal now in his bones
Farewell great thoroughbred
Farewell old friend!

It wasn't my loss Pryde but a friend. Harvey was a beautiful horse and Stacey mounted on that tall beauty looked poetic.

Thanks for the visit.

might be gone, but nothing like a beautiful photograph to capture the spirit and save it for eternity...

Horses, like dogs, come to unconditional love with such ease. They should be an example to us all. Sorry for you loss, Al:)
