That First Night

While you were seeking the arc of morning
I sleepily counted my dreams of night with you
We encountered each other on a high noon rising
Our sleep covered with morning's dew
as our bed sheets burned with fires smoke
Wishes upon wishes felt the night's air of you
Hugs, more than a grasp of flesh, the tender
leanings of my souls merged with you.

HI Steph,

Yes I kinda like this one. It's like a long cuddling of sweetness before the passion grabs our feelings. Thanks!

Regards,
Al

ah, love - what can i say - i am speechless - this poem is very intimate meant to be shared between lovers only - kinda x-rated in a tasteful way

Thank You Philip, Jacob & Miss Barrie. Oh the smoke of love feels clean and natural as I lean into the sexuality of Earth's rhythms.

The magic of a first night you capture well. Bed sheets burned.

Great poem.

as barrie expressed, a delightful sensuality and closeness consumes the theme of this softly sexual piece...i remember some first nights, reading this.
