Diabetes

You live in feed over the horizon

hunger on a hilltop that drives a man sane

when you gorge air fills your belly

carbs count toward disease,

fats encircle the heart

kale, liver, string beans,

all you want and more

i hear a diabetic beat

when song is life

and eating a secondary guess.

Learning to weight and measure...even if figuratively...every morsel of food that passes your lips is not fun, but it is necessary for so many of us. Type 2 diabetes can be a killer. "Drives a man sane"....yes, any medical diagnosis will make a person sit up and take notice! Great write. Lydi**

yes, as Sami spoke almost word for word my thoughts on this...

no secondary guess needed...it is a certainty...this poem is a winner.

This is unique as far as subject matter and choice of words to describe this type 2 diabetes. Keep us informed and educated for it inflicts millions of people. ...Excellent as usual....:)))))
