Eternal Candle

Eternal Candle

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Eternal Candle

If candlelight lived in your eye
I would feel the heat of your love in mine
Come candle, come burn,
Show me the idle candle window of yearn
Show me the honor of flame's long spent hour
Wax dripping on the kindness of me
I hear flicker in the coming day
A candle burns eternal and a day.

I favor the Moody Blues mainly for the thought provoking lyrics.

"Red is gray and yellow white............ Thanks Jacob!

i like the plea of the candle to burn a day longer than eternity...

that is quite the yearn....and she, his flame...

i am nicely reminded of the Moody Blues' song "Candle of Life" from my favorite album of theirs..."to our children's children's children"

The trouble with me Einstein I have trouble with surface stuff. I dive in an ocean of words.

Thank you sir!

There exist within us all a candle which the brighter it burns the longer the wick becomes. Nice work, Al:)

had to read this several times ... had to decipher lines four and six ... then the lights went on :) rather a deep, close to, spiritual desire ... then those same lines become pivotal for me ... painful to wake up love through idle kindness ... we like our selfish little comfort places ... i like it ..worth reading several times and more!
