Leaves to Grow

Leaves to Grow

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

is autumn here?

"

Leaves to Grow

I'm somewhere, not sure where, out on Gascon Park,
the body drifting in and out of thought.
I hear my pores breathing, feel the rush of air
coinciding with my eyes.
I'm trying vapor for reality,
a mix of spirits and souls,
Odd......odd this aloneness
I'm forever dragging my head through
a thought forest and waiting for the leaves to grow.

This is such a beautiful, peaceful poem. It's strange how you can take something that could be depressing and turn it into something that isn't melancholy at all.

The back yard forest grabs me, pulls me. I wish to go every time.

and sometimes we are lost in thought, but at the same time not really thinking of anything in particular, like a forest without leaves on the trees... just waiting for a thought. or for the poet, an inspiration .....

Thanks Ana!

I grow tired of deepness, just want to swim on the surface of things.

Often solitude drives us into deep thoughts and a desire for a change to happen.
The forest is a quiet serene place to gather these thoughts but if you take to long to make sense of them you'll watch the seasons come and go. Good one Al.
