De Vinci's Message

You draw lines and places
Try the verb to be in all but one spot
where a new language seems to form
Like a universe all its own
trashing linear thought to the ash pile of history
Expand the arms and legs
Stand tall it is De Vinci's message calling to us all.

I love Tom Hanks in these roles and the theories behind each story is just so believable. Back to the poem, a lovely write Al, you write so well in all your works.

Thanks Bacchus!

I looked into De Vinci's habits some time ago, started a writing exercise I called Morning Book. Two and a half years of writing and some of the surprises were amazing.

Thanks Doodley!

Two things sparked this piece, Arrival, the movie and Jacob's piece.

A very unique poem, Alfred.

As one who likes to write occasionally in Elizabethan style, i can attest to the joy of writing in an un-linear format , unconformed by the masses who love modern free verse poetry. And i guess that is me having my Da Vinci moment, being creative and spreading my literary wings.

This poem is very original in thought and concept. A pleasure to read.

Great suggestions! Art as a replacement for the saturation of bullshit to the masses.

Whoa!
Thanks Jacob!

love the idea of "trashing linear thought" and then maybe thinking outside the box?

alas. we can "expand the arms and legs" of theory, of art.
