Intense Fear

Intense Fear

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Guard duty

"

Intense Fear

Have you not heard of darkness words
the veer of it storming your soul
A battle ensues among monsters and men
As a feel of the rush shakes down the bones

On an evening of darkness between 12 & 3
On a bunker line of war in the heart of thee
An inner voice beckons to yell out your cause
In a gesture of grace I did what was called

We should guard against hate and spreading of intense political fears. These tools has been used in history over and over. Powerful Mr. Kubitz...:).................

Thanks E!

In some ways it was love. I woke the other guys up and said "gas". We were being gassed.

i like how you personify war and make it inside not outside ..i have stood the wall as they say ..guard duty is a lonely place .. a mind can wander and monsters threaten no doubt .. and i love your closing ..it teases me to make an assumption ..a judgement ..is your protagonist choosing love .. or battle .. both of which require grace says i .. i think the resolution is love ;)

That's a big word for me to bear.
You're welcome!
Your imagination is quite deep for me to understand.
I tried to convince myself with the meanings I drew out of it.
I believe wars are certainly useless. No one wins anything but loss is quite huge.
I am into world politics and the announcement today was so horrific! Making walls or banning Muslims isn't the way out!

I learn lot new from your poems, thank you for sharing.
