Evolution's Weight in Everyday LifeA Poem by Alfred Kukitzconsciousness layered by DNA and concepts of mindEvolution's Weight in Everyday Life Only a small drop of himself was left as torrents, waves of superiority washed over him, the self flickered in cascading forms of light & shadow The purity of his own thought marred by repetition of pattern He sank, the morass sucking him into darkness if only a child's thought could save him? He'd be free of all evolutionary layers that confounded the mind and soul The politics of pure imaginative thought could gather, Spirit, again, would stand a chance of lighting the soul
