Again I Speak in Memorial Day Wonder
They have weaved in and out of our minds The honor of the sacrifice living on the lips of prayers We come to you on this day our white crosses perched above our rotting corpses When will we stop falling? When will ageless wonder occupy the minds of powerful men It is Memorial Day, the wars seared into people of the free world, Graves in abundance, a boy's breath following the stars in the night sky, My collective scream grows empty and follows the night. © 2017 Alfred KukitzReviews
