The Infancy of Sleep

The Infancy of Sleep

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

finally got 8 hours

"

The Infancy of Sleep

Streams of daydreams wash over my brow
Darkness hurdles its arms around my bed
Naked
Floating with Earth in a breadbasket of dreams.

Sounds like someone has suffered from slight insomnia and lack of sleep!

Lovely description of the instantaneous moments when drowsiness eases into full restful sleep.

Nice work, Alfred.
