The Green Lane News

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

"

The Green Lane News

It came upon a six o’clock hour
The headlines read its some type of fire
No pictures, just headlines, the story read
Can Al escape the dragon of Green Lane dread?

Can I escape from your folly or hide my grin
Giggle my return to a state of being
Clean my slate what was once a coffin
My rate of return is to much to miss
I could possibly know how Bliss once kissed
All the while I womb in the flesh of my skin
Oh a fevered pitch
I found a place where I’m the only son of a b***h!

Thanks Margie!

A certain gal gave me an opportunity through her anger at me I extricated myself from our relationship. She passed in her car the other day smiling but I’m remaining away. She’s been costly!

Regards,
Al

This is whimsical & fun & full of clever turns of phrase! I wish I could see a little more between the lines becuz I have a hunch each line hints at much more than what is being revealed here . . . hmmm! (((HUGS))) Fondly Margie

great ending...i really like the "womb in the flesh of my skin"---
nicely done...reminiscing, and pondering how to start over.
