a mute in serious places

a mute in serious places

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

no clowns aloud

"

a mute in serious places

mute since early birth
an ignorance surrounds his lips in a purse
i could cry eyes but i prefer speech of the tongue
as i utter a sound, maybe a hint of my clown
the laughter feels like an open meadow bellowing out loud
as i dash through the air in lightening jolt ease
i hear strange mumbling about the words of my deed
turning everywhere i see a mute following me
it speaks to my ear like a wizard to be
laughter looks downward in this meadow land
perhaps a frown will do this land grand

there's a time and place for clowning around but sometimes when people are afraid they laugh and giggle
defense mechanism maybe? perhaps a coping mechanism? I think the latter.

i couldn’t agree more. however i have experienced places where death has swept humor away.

laughter is a savior...i firmly believe that...it has taken me from the darkest places.
